I'm sure you are getting tired of my talking about sitting on my deck, so this is what I did one day last week.  I took a long walk, came back, got my coffee and went down to the lake and sat.  It was a beautiful morning and the lake was so still. I saw no one, not even a fisherman. I sat for a while and was envying artists who could capture the beauty that I was witnessing.  I thought I should quit my dreaming and get back home to do some work.  Oh, gosh I still haven't gotten to those pictures yet.

Well, it will be another busy week filled with meetings but I'm looking forward to the "Country Express Band who will be at our Meal Site July25th at 10:30.  The meal that day will be Spaghetti, Peas  and Carrots, Garden Salad and and Strawberries.  July 29th there will be someone come to  speak on emergency readiness, also on that day we will have another Bake Sale and Silent Auction.  The meal that day will be Plantation Pork, Spinach, Capri Blend Vegetables and Peaches.  Every Thursday at 11:00 we have Grocery Bingo and on Friday's some are getting together for cards.  It's important to call Carol one day in advance at (989) 588-9841.

Last Friday was another fun day at our Meal Site. Craig Newton and his guitar came by and we had a great sing-a-long. We sure have a lot of fun singing all of the old songs. I hope Craig likes us as well as we like him.

Peggy and Pete Taylor had a family reunion at their home last Saturday, there were 27 people there but guess who wasn't there? Pete.  Pete was taken to the hospital and was said to have had a heart attack.  I just talked with Peggy and she said that he was back home and doing ok.  We are thinking about and hope you stay well.

I just want to say to Jim Pauquette, Jim don't you know that you're supposed to open that glass door before entering? OUCH! Jim had a few cuts and bruises but he's ok.

Last Saturday was "Meet your Candidate Day".  It was a informative meeting.  Each Candidate introduced themselves and their qualifications and the Office their running for.  Each one gave a good speech.  Don Sladick conducted the meeting. Thanks to the Lake George Citizens Action group for having this.  Don Sladick reminded everyone to vote on August 5th and to remember you must vote a straight party ticket in the primary election
